Jason Te Au

Jason Te Au is a finance professional with over fifteen years’ experience across banking, investment, and corporate finance in New Zealand and the UK. As a founding Director of Lancewood Investment Partners, he provides strategic leadership and expert advice across mortgage broking, KiwiSaver, and wealth management.

Before establishing Lancewood, Jason held senior roles with HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Tower Insurance, and the Bank of New Zealand, specialising in financial planning, credit analysis, and performance management. Most recently he was Commercial Manager at Mainland Poultry, New Zealand’s largest egg producer, where he led financial modelling, due-diligence support, and strategic planning through a major capital transaction.

Jason combines institutional-grade insight with a practical, client-focused approach to financial advice. His experience working with complex organisations and private clients enables him to translate technical analysis into clear, actionable guidance that supports long-term goals.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Economics) from the University of Otago and the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) in both Investment and Residential Lending.

Based in Dunedin, Jason is passionate about helping individuals and families build financial confidence and make informed investment decisions. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring Central Otago’s outdoors.
